Duties:

  • Accomplishes production human resource objectives by orienting, training, assigning, and coaching employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Meets production operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying process improvements.
  • Meets production financial standards by controlling and minimizing production expenses.
  • Maintains product production by observing process volumes; recommending process adjustments.
  • Records production by completing daily shift production reports; calculating yields and recoveries.
  • Maintains flow of operations by communicating production status, requirements, and problems to next shift.
  • Maintains working relationship with union by complying with the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Accomplishes manufacturing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to proper safety and HACCP regulations and policies/procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices; Actively identify and initiate process improvements to positively impact product quality and customer satisfaction of the facility
  • Analyzes working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department and facility.
  • Must be a fast learner and can handle a refrigerated environment.
  • Beef experience a plus.

Language Skills: Bilingual (Spanish/English) Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships at all levels and maintain a positive working environment Hours involve early mornings.
